Sexual Health

Sexual HealthWe offer a full, discrete screening service for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Many STIs are symptomless and therefore we encourage regular screening for patients who are sexually active and not in a fixed relationship or prior to embarking upon a new relationship. Our confidential service will provide reassurance for both you and your partner.

Sexually transmitted infections include:

  • HIV
  • Hepatitis B+C
  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhoea
  • Herpes
  • Genital Warts
  • Syphiliis

Samples can be taken in the privacy of our clinic to help ensure privacy.
We ask that you book an early morning appointment for sexual health screening to help ensure samples are delivered to and processed by the lab in a timely manner.

If you are attending for a STI screen we ask that you do not pass urine for at least two hours prior to your appointment. To have confidence in a negative screening result for gonorrhoea and chlamydia, at least two weeks should have passed from the time of your last "at risk" sexual experience and at least 3 months should have passed for HIV and Hepatitis blood test accuracy.

We also provide treatment for a wide range of sexually transmitted infections including cryotherapy for warts and can arrange referral to specialist genitourinary medicine or infectious disease clinics if necessary.
