COPD

All our doctors are very experienced in the management of COPD. We have good personal relationships with asthma and COPD specialists in Limerick can arrange referral for full lung testing if you are worried you may be developing COPD. We encourage all our patients to cease smoking and are happy to discuss smoking cessation at any time. We also advise all our patients who have COPD to ensure that they have an annual flu vaccine and at least one pneumococcal vaccine.  Further information and support regarding COPD can be found here www.copd.ie and here http://irishthoracicsociety.com

    Category: General
Due to the unprecedented storm expected to hit Limerick on Monday and the weather warnings from Met Eireann we are asking patients not to travel unless absolutely necessary. Our ability to provide general practice services on this day cannot be guaranteed at this point in time though we will endeavour to  do so if safe. We are advised that UL hospitals group has cancelled all outpatients appointments but the Emergency department at University Hospital Limerick is open as normal and the local injury unit in St Johns will be open from 9am to 6pm.
